Holding Justice Systems accountable. Building community trust. Making Chicago safer.
We serve Chicago communities by analyzing criminal justice data to empower Chicagoans to implement evidence based reforms. Now we need your help.
We're currently working to secure 36 years' worth of felony level court data from the Cook County Circuit Court. Our litigation in this case will once and for all open access to the Cook County State's Attorney's criminal prosecution data and will finally secure public access to this important information.
We have already won our battle in court. Now we need your help to make this important information available to every Chicagoan in every neighborhood.
Our goal is to create a database and website where Chicagoans can visit and get an accurate picture of what crime - and the justice systems' response to it - looks like in their neighborhood. By supporting our work with a $25, $50 or $100 donation, you can help us build the system to clean up this data, analyze it, and break it down so that all will be able to understand.
The more informed people are, the better the decisions that will be made on behalf of our city, our children and our communities. Stand with the Chicago Justice Project today and help us build a better and more-informed Chicago.
